   Medieval India
The three most important of the Rajput states in north India were the Gahrwals of Kanauj, the Paramaras of Malwa and the Chauhans of Ajmer. There were other smaller dynasties in different parts of the country, such as the Kalachuris in the area around Jabalpur, the Chandellas in Bundelkhand, the Chalukyas of Gujarat, the Tomars of Delhi, etc. Bengal remained under the control of the Palas and later, the Senas. New Zealand Schools vs Microsoft - Can’t Afford MS Office

Well it seems that our education system has a major tiff with being able to afford using Microsoft Office on all of the 25,000 computers in their school system. The story from the NZ Herald seems to indicate that the school district was facing some $2.7 million in additional licensing fees, which it could not afford. The school computers are all Apple systems using Microsoft Office. The school district estimated that some 30% of the systems were ...

While the Royal New Zealand Navy prepares to formally celebrate the arrival, six months late, of the first of seven Project Protector warships, there are concerns about the Navy’s ability to operate the new ships. The multirole vessel Canterbury will be handed over by prime contractor Tenix on May 31 in Melbourne, commissioned June 12, arrive at its home port of Lyttleton on June 28, and berth at Auckland’s Devonport naval base, where it will be ...
